Viridian takes amazing wood and makes it into high quality paneling and tables, and it all starts in our 50,000 square foot facility where we roll up our sleeves and make it happen. If you want to learn about wood, have the chance to learn how to operate woodworking machines, and work in a small team based environment, please apply! In this job you will learn how to assemble and glue up tables spanning many sizes and wood species.You will learn how to master table assembly from simple to complex in construction, how to process material to create wood blanks for tables, and how to safely use our machinery. This is a critical role in our production process with a high emphasis on quality control, and attention to detail. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times. Learn to read and understand work orders Learn to operate milling/glue-up equipment set-up and run glue line rip saws Learn Viridian and customer specifications Learn how to asses defects and tolerance ranges in multiple wood species QUALIFICATIONS Committed to safety, cleanliness, and accuracy. Conscientious self-starter who can work accurately and independently. Quickly learn setup and operation of wood working tools Able to follow detailed work instructions and grade wood (we will train you but you, but you will need to prove you can learn and move fast). Show you can apply basic math skills, read work orders, and use a tape measure and calipers Convert board feet to lineal feet and square feet (using a calculator!) Mechanically minded to read and follow written maintenance manuals. Our team is fast-paced and high energy – you need to hit the ground running Able to lift 50lbs unassisted / 100 lbs team assisted and be on your feet for the shift.
