I have an older rat that I am thinking of rehoming. His name is Theo (nickname is Teddy) and he just turned 2 years old. The reason I am thinking of rehoming him is because his brother just passed away, but Theo is still very healthy and active and probably has many months ahead of him still. He likes people and is very friendly but doesn’t really enjoy being touched or carried, and I’m worried that he will get very lonely because I will not be getting any more rats. I’m looking for someone who is experienced with rats and would be willing to try adding Theo to your group. You can try adding him and see how he does with new rats. He has only ever lived with his brother so I don’t know how he would respond to new rats. If he enjoys the new company I think he would be much happier living with them instead of being alone with me. But if it doesn’t go well and he doesn’t like your rats, I will take him back and keep him. If you’d be willing to try this out, please email me or text me at .
