The Stone Center of Carolina, is one of the largest natural stone suppliers of outdoor living products in the East Coast. We serve a diverse group of customers including independent contractors, landscapers, builders, and homeowners. Wages based on experience. This is a full time position with heavy focus on customer service and safety. This position requires being able to work safely in a busy building supply yard, judging distances and operating equipment with precision. Operators will use wheel loader heavy equipment to move bulk gravel and pallets adhering to safety policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Load and unload trucks with stock coming in and orders going out. *Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning and inspect and complete equipment report daily. *Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Physical Requirements: *Physical requirements include lifting up to 85 lbs., (more with team lifts) extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, working inside and outside, and use of fall protection equipment. *Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions. *Able to sit for extended periods, climb up & down from cab heights, and work effectively in extreme outdoor climate(s) - cold, heat, rain, fog. Requirements: *At least 2 years’ experience of using heavy equipment/front end loader is preferred but not required. *High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred but not required. *Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. *Able to read and write in English as well as record and understand numerical values.
