We have a wide reaching global footprint, with manufacturing and operations facilities in countries across Europe, North and South America and Asia. KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE The Scapa Planner/Scheduler will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include establishing production priorities, allocating resources to support plan, communicating lead times, conferring with customers and production to determine progress of completion dates, and inventory levels. Pay-$22 to $25 Per HR RESPONSIBILITIES List key responsibilities of the role. These should not include RRE’s or KPI’s. • Coordinate production flow for multiple products across compounding, printing, converting and packaging machines within ERP system. • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum revenue, efficient performance and manage capacity constraints while exceeding RLIP (Requested Line Item Performance) goals. • Monitor schedule adherence with production departments. • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service groups to resolve material inventory and order fulfilment issues • Work cross functionally with product development, sales, operations, supply chain, and key customers to schedule trial production runs, and product testing including the sourcing of new materials, production processes, and timelines • Responsible for managing work in process and finished goods • Assists in developing and/or strengthening the Bill of Materials, Constraint Based Planning Process, and Label Development in the ERP System • Manage obsolesce of materials and finished goods with customers. • Execute Purchase Orders and manage inventory stock levels for assigned materials. • Partner with internal Production, Quality and Logistics/Warehousing staff to insure timely receipt of Production Materials, Supplies and Equipment • Manage work orders in alignment with Compounding, Converting and Packaging shift schedules. • Expedite orders through the various departments of production and maintain liaison with other departments for order completion. • Monitor schedule adherence with Production department VIRTUES AND TALENTS The role incumbent will demonstrate the relevant talents for the role and will display the virtues aligned to our principles: Essential skills/experience/ qualifications: - Excellent verbal and written communication - Effective in work organization: managing priorities and objectives in a timely manner - . - Able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. - Maintains a process focus and time based approach with regard to Production Planning, Inventory Management and Capacity Utilization Desirable skills/experience/ qualifications: - 2-5 Years of production planning and purchasing experience - Thorough understanding of MRP concepts, capacity planning, routings and Bills of Material as they pertain to the planning process. - Self-confidence and the ability to challenge other areas when necessary. - Experienced with End to End Supply Chain Management processes (Source, Plan, Make and Deliver processes) - Applies a demonstrated Sense of Urgency to complex business challenges in Supply/Demand - WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
