Description
Entry to Mid-level position that fabricates precision parts for prototype equipment and fixtures working from sketches, drawings, and/or blueprints. Performs a broad range of duties involving moderately complex assignments and projects. Uses manual lathe to complete fabrication tasks.
DUTIES:
1. Identifies the desired machined part with internal customers through the use of sketches, drawings, and/or blueprints
2. Selects and sets-up the proper tools and machine for each job
3. Operates various machine shop equipment to produce close tolerance machined parts to print specifications
4. Assists in troubleshooting and making repairs to production fixtures and machinery when necessary
5. Works closely with engineers and technicians to attain the desired end product
6. Works independently under limited supervision
7. Receives guidance on complex problems
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recognizes and complies with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental rules and policies.
2. Participate fully in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program.
3. Participate in Behavior-Based Safety programs (BBS).
4. Report all incidents immediately to supervisor.
5. Participate fully in ARKOS’s incident reporting and investigation program as well a customer’s incident reporting and investigation program
6. Participate fully in site specific Emergency Action Plans.
