affixing vinyl floor to edges of room

Jobs

N. Madison Ave near Woodbury, Altadena CA

Description

My friend had someone install a vinyl floor in a house with hardwood floors. The vinyl was not mean to be permanent but was meant to protect the floor from house rabbits. So we spread thick plastic sheeting on the floor and attached the vinyl to that. We also got 6" baseboard protectors to go around the baseboards but haven't installed those yet. The remaining job is to - install 6" baseboard using mounting tape - tuck the sheeting with the vinyl under the baseboard and caulk it in place The goal is that the vinyl sheeting (on it's plastic underlay) won't move around very much. I've attached three photos showing where the vinyl/plastic meets the edges of the room. We realize this isn't an idea way to do things but it should be good enough, especially if we are very careful not to slide heavy objects on the vinyl. Please contant me if you want to take a loot and give an estimate.
