We are a small private chef and catering team in Sonoma County, looking for a reliable, talented and seasoned chef who can help with taking out subcontracted Private Chef dinner parties and some Sonoma/Napa County catering events. Chef must be comfortable walking into a private home and party and cook a dinner party. We offer high end, French/California, scratch, haute cuisine for private dining vacation rentals and small wedding/winery parties. We have a prep team that packs out the event/party chefs; though extra hours can be made if you'd like to prep as well during busier weeks. We travel within Sonoma, Napa, Marin and San Francisco, 95% Napa/Sonoma. Great opportunity to expand your culinary talents from the restaurant to a single table per night and showcase your talent! This is part time and on call position. Friday & Saturday nights are when we have most of our parties, some week days. Great opportunity to earn extra cash - for a talented seasoned Chef. Subcontractor Chefs Musts: -Be proficient in the culinary arts. -Be able to work weekend nights. -Good DMV & insurance. -Reliable vehicle. -(Drive time to events and dinner parties are paid either w/ our vehicle or yours). -Well groomed -Respectful with good communication skills. -Passion for great hospitality and service. -Own your equipment: Pots, pans and knives. (We do loan these too) -Professional and friendly demeanor. -Self motivated -Our team entertains: Chef must have the ability to chat with guests and give cooking tips while preparing in the client's kitchen with a smile. -Be quick, clean, and safe. -Work as a team with servers. -Willing to travel to a dinner party. -Leadership skills -Be an excellent cook and passionate about cuisine. -10 years experience in high end dining. -2 years Catering experience. -Culinary degree is a plus. -Follow through with commitments. -Proficient in word, google doc and google calendars. -Great communicator -We love to cook and please our clients, looking forward to meeting you!
