Searching for unconventional, unique vocals that could be at the outer edge of radio friendly and can capture attention. If you're way out there and can reel it into the pocket and get it working all the better. Too many singers are doing the same thing. "If everybody is thinking alike then nobody is really thinking." This is very true given what I've been hearing. Are you able carry a tune beyond two note melodies?? Without raucousness?? Not doing that stupid death metal thing?? Got good ears for determining what the chord progression is conveying?? Know how to listen to what is going on and get in sync with what is happening?? If so, get back to me.
