The events of 2001 changed Cincinnati policing. Learn what happened, what has changed, and what still needs to improve.
Join us on December 9th to watch and discuss the 2015 documentary Cincinnati Goddamn! This film discusses the killings of 15 black men from 1995-2001 and the activism that led to Cincinnati’s Collaborative Agreement with the police, a formal system of community monitoring of police misconduct. Learn about two deaths in particular that sparked the movement and the tireless work of lawyers and activists to make lasting change. After the film, we will spend time discussing the material as well as current activism and demands surrounding policing in Cincinnati. Tickets are free, but be sure to reserve one for every attendee! Attendance will be limited to allow for proper social distancing.
