Roadway Laborer / Highway Maintenance Technician

Desk job not your "thing"? We perform maintenance functions along local highways in the beautiful Florida weather. The position is FT, permanent, and has a ton of benefits. The shift is usually M-F from 7 am - 4pm (may add overtime or change hours due to bad weather). Job Duties (It is not required that you know how to do all of this. We are willing to train the right people!) - Landscaping, like mowing, weed control spraying, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, tree trimming - Clean and grade ditches, drainage structures, highway road shoulders, slopes - Fence repair, sign repair and replacement, and litter and debris removal - Concrete / asphalt repair and forming, to include filling potholes - Repair guardrail and metal signage - Perform Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) / temporary traffic control - Use bed edgers, commercial mowers (z-turns and bush hogs), tractors, mini-excavators, skid steers, gators, blowers, dump trailers, chain saws, line trimmers, and more Requirements - Valid Florida Driver's License - Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions - Work alongside roadways and highways with commuter traffic passing by at varying rates of speed work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary - Take and pass drug screen, motor vehicle screen, and Federal Background Check We provide full benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, PTO, 8 paid holidays, employee referral program, new parent leave, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with company match, and more!
