Blind dog needs loving home

We have a very loving blind dog that wandered into our lives a bit ago. He was covered in ticks and in bad shape. We nursed him back to health and you would be amazed at the things he is capable of even though he's blind. He truly is a good dog, but not for kids. Our granddaughter moved in with us recently and he has snapped at her, we can't have this. He does not try to get on furniture, he doesn't chew furniture he does bark when people come in as he hears everything. We do not let him go upstairs as he's fine going up, but coming down is a challenge. He has mastered a few steps but not a whole flight coming down. We don't know his age or breed. Everyone has their opinions. We love this dog, so please we are looking for someone to love him too. He really wants to just be pet and loved on, but no kids!! His name is Stevie.
