Local volunteer opportunity in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC), Indiana Black Expo, Inc (IBE), the City of Indianapolis, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Commission, and Indy Parks would like to invite you to participate in a volunteer opportunity to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The 10th Annual Dr. King Day of Service will be held Monday, January 17, 2022, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Volunteers will assist with various projects. Some projects will include neighborhood clean-up, trash pick-up on Edgemont Avenue, painting, organizing food and clothing pantries and cleaning. The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC) enforces the civil rights laws of the State of Indiana. We investigate complaints of discrimination and educate organizations, companies, landords, associations, and individuals on their rights and responsibilities under Indiana Civil Rights Laws.
