Overview:
Transactional Analysis introduces strategies through which we can understand, predict, and even pre-empt what happens next in conversations. This can lead conversations in directions that are mutually productive.
What You'll Learn:
Learn and identify the three fluid ego states found in all of us—parent, adult, child—which initiate and respond to specific stimuli
Become aware of the words, tone of voice, and body language that drive each ego state
Decide which ego state to use to respond effectively and appropriately
Create transactions that can either elicit the intended result or alter or redirect (cross) the other person’s transaction to produce a different intended response
We will role play situations, practice these communication skills, and learn to quickly identify the ego states—skills participants will use and appreciate in their professional and personal lives.
