State Rep. Lisa Hernandez is hosting a Christmas Eve food giveaway to provide warm meals to families in Little Village and Cicero. State Representative Lisa Hernandez is hosting a Christmas Eve food giveaway to provide warm meals to families in Little Village and Cicero on Thursday, December 24! We are asking volunteers to help by making deliveries to people’s homes. ~ We request that you sign up as a pair with a “copilot” - two per car - to avoid any issues with directions and parking, allowing one person to bring the meal to the door. Also, we strongly encourage pairs from the same household for your own safety given the circumstances with COVID-19. ~ Volunteers are asked to arrive at Nuevo Leon Restaurant (3657 W 26th St, Chicago, IL 60623) 15 minutes prior to the beginning of their shift and will be given their delivery routes to five homes upon arrival. ~ Please select the shift you would like to work when signing up.
