Please join our event. We will be learning some holiday songs in Spanish, and vocabulary related to the season. $10/child - $5 siblings Description EVENT INFO Join Día de los Nińos at the Toybrary as we celebrate over 10 years of providing high quality Spanish classes to Austin and its surrounding areas! SCHEDULE OF EVENTS 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM (AGES 2-5) We'll host a mini-class with Felissa Taylor who will perform song from her Songs to Learn Spanish CDs that will have children smiling and moving to the beat as they learn the fundamentals of the Spanish. Please note that a parent or guardian must be in attendance with children at this event. ABOUT DÍA DE LOS NIÑOS Through our programs, children learn Spanish naturally, making learning a second language fun! Music, natural play, and family are cornerstones of our program. Children explore the Spanish language and exercise skills such as problem solving and independent thinking along the way. Felissa Taylor founded Día de los Niños when she saw how her 2 young sons were thriving in Spanish. As a linguist, she understood the benefits of learning another language at a young age and wanted to provide other families in Austin the same opportunity for their own children. We strive to create a community of learning with our families and provide resources and activities for practice at home. The program has grown from a little ‘escuelita’ where children met twice weekly to a traveling Enrichment Program that visits close to 500 students a week. The program was also featured on Univision’s “Despierta Austin.” THE MUSIC Our newest CD, Songs to Learn Spanish vol. 3 features fundamentals of Spanish in a whimsical way that will have children smiling and moving to the beat.
