Love Mischief lays out a woven tapestry of funk, psychedelic rock and jazz fusion with untethered improvisation as the common thread.
Love Mischief embark on a sonic journey through many musical landscapes in order to open hearts and minds. Founded by guitarist/vocalist Brian Curtin in 2013, Love Mischief began as a vehicle to flesh out his original material. Eight years later, the music has taken on a life of its own. Educated at the prestigious Berklee School of Music and soaking up influences from all realms, Curtin helms an underground assassin squad of some of Sacramento’s most dangerous weapons.
Rapidly building a heavy reputation in the Foothills, Curtin is a virtuoso who will blow you away with his technical abilities and wild imagination. He is a tonal master who explores effects unlike you've ever heard. Expect a woven tapestry of funk, psychedelic rock and jazz fusion with untethered improvisation as the common thread. Curtin has been a frequent Jonny Mojo collaborator and a Band Beyond Description member, which should give you a hint at his prowess. Bassist Dom Salazar-Turner is also a goliath on his instrument and a groove-master in his own rite. This band is likely to stretch a few Grateful Dead songs in very unique directions. While that will definitely be a part of the equation, it is only one small portion of the terrain this band navigates.
