Vivian Howard is coming to Manteo as part of her 'This Will Make It Taste Good' Drive Thru Book Tour! We've done book signings.. we've done author events.. but for the first time ever Downtown Books presents a safe, socially distant in-person drive-thru book signing featuring the one and only VIVIAN HOWARD. Rest assured, we’ll follow all CDC guidelines, masks will be required and you will be asked to stay in your car for the entirety of your visit. But you'll get a chance to meet Vivian and she'll sign your book while you snack on some treats from its pages and have an opportunity to take a quick photo together (again, from your car) before you leave. Tickets are being sold in fifteen minute time increments so when ordering, you will need to order for a specific time block. Tickets include one signed book and one snack pack to enjoy while waiting in line and an opportunity to take a photo together from a safe distance while staying inside your car. Photos will be sent directly to you. If you would like to purchase multiple books or snack packs in advance, check the ticket link. In order to limit contact between our team and guests, Vivian will not be able to sign books that you bring from home. Details about this drive-thru signing will be sent to you prior to the event. We are partnering up with our friends- and Viv's!- at the Outer Banks Distillery to make this happen and the event will take place at their premises. The Town of Manteo is holding a food drive on Dec 19 to collect food for our area's hard hit food pantries. We will be a drop off point so if you would like to contribute to these efforts please bring your donation with you to this event and we will get it to the Town of Manteo.
