Fix power control module / rear lights out on Dodge Ram pickup truck

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram truck that has no rear lights, so the brake lights, tail lights, turn signal are all out. I took it to a shop and they think that the power control module is bad and needs to be replaced. I also had someone look at it and confirm that the power is not reaching the back light assemblies. I need to get a power control module that is used, but I am not sure if it requires programming. If you have experience with this type of thing please let me know if you think you can fix it and whether it needs to be programmed if we use a used one as the shop was going to charge more than I can afford to fix it and said they had to send it out to be programmed by some other place. The truck has some other issues I would like looked at later on like the AC is out, fan sometimes doesn't work, etc so I can potentially hire you for some of this work later, for now I need to get it back to where I can drive it though.
