Through this event, we are seeking to bring awareness to teen suicide, give free resources, help teens identify signs. Waste Management, Ready Set Go Foundation, & OD Harris present: Bringing Awareness to Prevent Teen Suicide on Sunday, December 12, from 1:30 pm Check-In begins at 2:00 pm to 5 pm at Tempe Main Event. OD Harris, along with several community partners, will be bringing awareness to Teen Suicide. There will be remarks by Gilbert Mayor Brigette Peterson, Mayor Kevin Hartke of Chandler, Mayor Corey Woods of Tempe followed by NFL Alumni Micheal Bankston, a former Cardinal Player, & Dr. Paula J McCall, an Arizona Licensed Psychologist. The kids, from age 13 through high school senior age, will learn, eat, and interact through bowling with these successful influencers from business to professional sports (NFL, MLB, Tennis, etc) along with a therapist. We know that kids will share their thoughts with a friend before they will share with a parent. Through this event, we are seeking to bring awareness to teen suicide, give free resources, help teens identify signs when their friends or themselves are feeling this way, and lastly, how to report it or get help. EACH TEEN MUST BE REGISTERED SEPARATELY WITH THEIR NAME! Parents are welcome to attend also. The teens will be required to register for $1.00 through Eventbrite.
