Desert Trailer Systems, Inc. is a leader in rental, sales, and leasing of new and used semi-trailers. We service the trucking and logistics industry with storage, highway and cartage vans, electric and diesel reefer trailers, flatbeds and other specialty units. We are seeking a full-time Parts Manager for immediate hire. Position Overview: The Parts Manager is responsible for the management and growth of the Parts Department. This individual will have proven success in building effective relationships within a team, with peers, other departments, customers, and vendors. The successful candidate will exhibit a desire to be a part of a growing and dynamic team. Position Duties: • Take full accountability for the establishment, management, and growth of the Parts Department. • Hire and manage parts department employees and coordinate effectively with the GM and Service Manager. • Identify and document all key workflows within the Parts Department. • Effectively interact and communicate with sales staff, service technicians, administrators, and customers. • Work closely with vendors to order parts, arrange shipping, and obtain pricing and availability. • Prepare work orders and parts orders to be closed and invoiced. • Review and process outside vendor bills for rebills to customer. • Set up territories and routes for outside parts salesmen. • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, routing them to the appropriate staff member to assist them, and responding to special requests. Requirements: • Strong knowledge of the automotive/trucking industry. • Two years of relevant experience.
