IN-PERSON Trial Skills Programs are BACK! The Michigan Indigent Defense Commission's Trial Skills Simulation Program is bringing back in-person programs! This free, grant-funded program will offer an intensive look at storytelling in opening statements and will feature Larry Rosen, Master Storytelling Instructor who is involved in organizations such as the storytelling podcast and radio show "The Moth." This program is being offered at the Delta Hotel Kalamazoo Conference Center located at 2747 S. 11th St., Kalamazoo, Michigan on December 13, 14, and 15, 2021, from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Participants will earn 21 hours of CLE credit for participation in the full program, and the program will satisfy the skills training requirements of Standard 1. You must attend the entire program in order to receive CLE credits. To be eligible for participation in the program, you must be a licensed attorney representing indigent defendants within the State of Michigan. You must plan to participate in the entire three-day program.  This program is limited to 12 participants. A wait-list will be compiled once the program is full.  You are responsible for making your own reservations if you wish to stay at the hotel. The Delta Hotel can be reached at 269-492-7447. There is a block of rooms reserved for this program at the discounted rate of $85 per night.
