Description

Part-time, monthly gig offered in downtown Oakland commercial kitchen. Looking for someone reliable and dependable who can consistently work 1 Saturday per month (typically the third or sometimes the last Saturday of the month). The first shift will take place this Saturday Nov 20th. We're a fast-growing ecommerce company that sells global spice blends. We need a part-time worker to blend our product from our recipes using our equipment. Work is physical in a commercial kitchen environment. Each shift is ~8-9 hrs and is typically done all in a single day each month. We will guarantee you 1 shift per month going forward.. easy way to earn more $$ on a Saturday! There could be more hours available during the holiday season to work from home helping us fulfill orders during the busy holiday season. Typical tasks: load boxes/supplies in vehicle, move supplies on a rolling cart from car to inside commercial kitchen, measuring ingredients, using blending machines, washing equipment / utensils, light clean up (broom, wiping tables) **Ideally, you live in the East Bay... kitchen is located 1 block from Lake Merritt. We always do these shifts on Saturdays and currently start at 9am and run until ~5pm. Kitchen has 24 hour access so there could be flexibility to start earlier or later if the shift team members agree** If you have ever worked in a kitchen, that's a bonus! But no experience required... we will train you. **Do you also have a minivan, SUV, pickup, or crossover vehicle to drive boxes of supplies and finished product? We will pay you for your driving time and mileage to drop finished product after the shift.** Requirements: - must be able to accurately read a recipe and measure appropriate amount of spice using large measuring cups - must be able / willing to move heavy boxes (~40 lbs) safely into/out of vehicle, storage, and onto rolling cart (essential duty) - must have COVID19 vaccination and show proof (the commercial kitchen now requires proof) - must be authorized to work in USA - must be able to work first shift on Nov 20th during the hours ~9a-5p (we need to train you during this first shift). - must be available to work 2nd shift on Saturday Dec 18th Bonus if: - you have a larger vehicle (e.g., pickup truck, minivan, SUV) to hold large boxes and plastic containers when picking up and dropping supplies, please let us know the model.
