The Freelance Group (www.freelancegroup.co) is a newly established non-profit community center in COLOMBIA to help young professionals develop their freelancing careers. We plan to offer co-working space in a managed office, supporting services, and classes to help our members grow. We’re looking for volunteers to teach English classes for 10 hours per week in Barranquilla, Colombia in exchange for free lodging and food. This would leave you with plenty of free time to travel, study at a local university, work remotely for a US employer, or develop your own business ideas. We are open to digital nomads, students, entrepreneurs or anyone else. If you have start-up ambitions, you’re welcome to use the office for free as a base for your work. And if you’d like to offer the community any kind of additional classes like cooking, yoga, graphic design, software development, or anything else, we’d be happy to support you. The program is very flexible, so we’re open to whatever you’d like to do, as long as other people are interested in your ideas. We want you to genuinely follow your passions, because that’s what will get our members excited. All the profit we make goes back to the community and teachers. We’re just trying to encourage everyone to help each other connect, learn, grow and build life-long friendships.
