Press release from the DC History Center:
November 3, 2021
In recent months we have introduced our new education and program managers to you, Domonique Spear and Maren Orchard. Now we invite you to meet the staff members who are rounding out our team on the administrative side: Business Manager Ian Potter and Development Manager Donovan Trott!
Ian comes to the DC History Center after four years in finance and administration in a law firm specializing in employment law in Silver Spring, MD. He grew up in DC and Maryland. After studying history as an undergraduate at the University of California at Santa Cruz, he returned to his hometown to start his professional career. Ian is our in-house expert in all matters related to finance, administration, and human resources.
Donovan joins us from Meals on Wheels America, where he managed the nuts and bolts of donor data and communications. Previously he was the events and development manager at Accelerated Brain Cancer Cure. Here he supported events, peer-to-peer fundraising, and the year-end appeal. A DC native, Donovan is a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia with a degree in the liberal arts.
If you have any questions about your giving or membership, feel free to contact Donovan directly at [email protected].
"I consider myself, first and foremost, a storyteller and I couldn't be more grateful to have the opportunity to tell the story of my city through the impactful work of the DC History Center." – Donovan Trott
