LIDO BEACH, NY — The Loop Parkway will undergo a full shutdown from the Meadowbrook Parkway to Lido Boulevard on Sunday night. Drivers should be alerted that the closure will last until 5 a.m., the state Department of Transportation said. Maintenance work is being done to the drawbridge over Long Creek. A detour from Long Beach barrier island to Long Island's mainland is via Long Beach Bridge. Signs will direct drivers on the route. Fines are doubled for speeding in work zones.
