Good Wednesday morning Connecticut, We can expect sunshine and temperatures into the mid 50s on Wednesday and more sun and temperatures into the mid 60s on Thursday. A chance of rain showers late Thursday and early Friday and then more sun, but it will be much cooler with temperatures only reaching into the upper 40s. There is a chance that far northern parts of the state may see some snowflakes late Thursday and early Friday. WTNH News 8 reported that wires on the 100-foot pine tree were cut, and some bulbs were also taken. Fred Colby, who owns Marvel Pest Control, spent hundreds of hours putting up the 6,000 lights by hand and discovered the vandalism on Monday night, according to WTNH. Colby told FOX 61 that he is already working long nights to get it fixed in time for the lighting ceremony, and he's also already forgiven the Grinch who did the damage.
