I am helping my sister rehome her Yellow Nape Amazon named Spencer. Despite the name they are pretty sure Spencer is a female. Spencer talks quite a bit. Her sayings include Hey Lady, sings Popeye the Sailor Man, says I can talk can you fly, and barks like a dog among other things. I do not believe she says any curse words. She loves to play with her toys. Spencer used to be be handled daily but now it is only my older sister and she does not spend time daily with her. Right now if you try to reach into her cage she will try to bite you but I believe that is because she is not getting the socialization she needs. I am sure with an understanding, experienced owner she will go back to being her funny, playful, loving self. My son was able to get him out of his cage and play with him when he was around 8 years old. Spencer is approximately 25 years old. She will come with his cage and toys. You must have experience with parrots and provide the phone number of the vet. I will post pictures as soon as possible.
