Here are the top stories today in Sacramento: A stabbing investigation nearby had Stonelake Elementary School in Elk Grove on a precautionary lockdown Wednesday, police say. Elk Grove police said the suspect was located a few miles away from the location of the stabbing and was taken into custody. The victim was taken to the hospital and their condition was unknown. (CBS Sacramento)Adisynne Burke, an 11-year-old Fair Oaks resident went looking for an apron when she and her dad started to learn to barbeque. She couldn't find one, so she made one. And now she makes them to sell, along with four "amazing" BBQ rubs. You can find them at Ace Hardware stores across the Sacramento region. I'm definitely going to try them out! Nice going, Adisynne! (KCRA3)Be aware if you see a white van with blue lettering and a Texas license plate. Witnesses say that vehicle was used in Fat Alley downtown in an attempted kidnapping. Other people are coming forward to report similar instances with a similar vehicle. (ABC10)An immigration judge on Tuesday ruled that Omar Ameen, the Sacramento refugee cleared of suspicion of murdering a foreign police officer, is removable from the United States. At a Southern California courtroom hearing, the judge found Ameen lied on his refugee application to gain entry to the country and he lied to officials on several other occasions, including about having contact with this cousin who the government states is a member of a terrorist group. The Department of Homeland Security recommended Ameen be sent to Iraq, with Turkey as an alternative. Turkey was selected as an alternate because it's the country Ameen entered the United States from. Ameen's attorneys will seek a bond hearing to have Ameen released from custody until his next hearing. (KCRA3) Demand for travel is back and this holiday season has the potential to be busier than ever. Online booking sites are predicting Thanksgiving passenger levels could be twice that of 2020 levels and 75 percent of 2019. Sacramento International Airport has some tips for travelers to get to their destination without carrying on all the stress.
