SEWICKLEY, PA — A Watson Institute staff member was injured Wednesday morning in a hostage situation involving a knife, the Leet Township Police Department confirmed. Leet officers and multiple surrounding law enforcement agencies descended upon the special education center shortly after 9 a.m. "Officers were successfully able to take the actor into custody,"Leet Chief Michael Molinaro stated in a brief Facebook post. "At this time one adult victim is successfully recovering at Allegheny General Hospital and one juvenile is safe and in the custody of their parents." The condition of the staff member was not immediately known. Due to the pending investigation, Molinaro said no further information currently is available at this time.
