The Mendocino Coast is desperately in need of a(nother) veterinarian. A very popular and well respected vet has been trying to sell their practice for a few years with no success, so they're retiring and closing in January. There are other veterinarians in the area, none of them are taking new patients. There are a lot of people out here on the edge of the world that don't want to haul their critters "over the hill" (and down the valley) to get them medical care. Emergency... forget it. Yes, housing is scarce and expensive out here, but we REALLY want/need another full time vet. You work with us, I'm pretty sure someone around here would work with you. Exotic animal knowledge a plus, there are all manner of weird creatures out here. So, Veterinary folk... please consider making your life and livelihood on the Beautiful Mendocino Coast. In case you're truly interested, Dedrick Veterinary Hospital is the one going dark. Me? I am just a local with critters that get car sick and therefore REALLY don't like going to the vet.
