UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are looking for five people who are wanted in connection to a recent assault and robbery on an Upper West Side train.
Around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, a 21-year-old man was riding a southbound 2 train approaching West 66th Street and Broadway, when he was confronted by a group who punched and kicked him multiple times — causing a bloody nose, police aid.
The group took the man's wallet, containing $80, an ID card and a MetroCard. The group also took his Galaxy headphones, police said. The total value of everything stolen is roughly $520, police added.
The 21-year-old man was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Police released photos Tuesday night for the first time of the five people wanted in connection to the UWS train robbery.
NYPD said that all five of the people police are looking for are approximately 13 to 18 years old.
