Looking for either a skilled drummer OR a melodic guitar player. Professionally managed band is opening for touring acts in the greater LA area and we're looking for a player. Band is in the process of recording their second release and there are music videos on the way. Influences on the band are Dimmu Borgir, Children Of Bodom, Wintersun, Nightwish, Lamb Of God, etc. We rehearse in Vernon. Needless to say, no egos, addictions, getting high/drunk before rehearsals, you know the drill. This is a gig that requires time and dedication, and if you've got a demanding job with no flexibility for shows and opportunities, this probably isn't the gig for you. If you think you're up for the task, please respond to this with some demos of your skills and abilities and we'll send you some material. Drummers - double bass 16th notes up to 210 and blasts at the same tempo. We have a kit for you to use at rehearsals, but you'll need to bring your own for shows. Needs to look clean, professional, and of decent quality. Guitarists - we also have an amp and cab for you to use at rehearsals but you'll need your own for shows. Clean picking, writing, and technique are definitely a plus. Have a good stage presence. There are so many statues in the metal community as of late. Look the part! Long hair is a nice touch but not necessary. We work as a team and the music will definitely show that! That being said, I want to apologize for sounding like a hardass but it weeds out the ones who just wanna play rockstar for a few shows.
