blackngold.studio is a professionally stocked creative and recording studio for musicians to rehearse, track, mix, master, and visually capture their projects. We have a few weekday slots open for short or long-term rentals. Our clients enjoy full use of BOTH our rooms and all the professional gear inside. Looking for a consistent rehearsal space? Use our backline featuring Orange, Ludwig, Fender, Ampeg and more or bring your gear and store it securely. Both of our rooms feature and full PA and monitors. Time to record? No matter if it’s a quick demo or a full-length record, we have the tools to help you capture your sounds. Our rooms are complete with all the gear you’ll need to get up and running. We have over 16 channels to record on, a vocal booth to let it loose, and coffee / tea stations to keep the sessions strong. Want to bring in your engineer? We’d love to show them around. Don’t know how to do it, but want to learn? We’ll show you how to get up and running as swiftly as we can! Do you have some projects to Mix and Master? We have a sonically treated room complete with over 20 sound panels and a suite of plugins to help you get the sound just right. Your clients / bandmates can join you comfortably on our couches and chairs. Our rooms are stocked with industry standard microphones (421, RE20, sm7b, etc.) and pro-grade interfaces and Macs (Apollo 8xp, M1 Mac mini). Time for some promo pics / videos? We have 2 rooms with backdrops and color options. Need a photographer? We got a few on staff ready to capture your best side. Few other things: Fully stocked fridge. Private bathroom. 24/7 Security with passcodes and cameras. PLENTY of parking. Here’s some FAQ Where are you located? Beautiful Uptown Whittier California I’m a producer and want to bring clients in and out. Can I conduct business at blackngold.studio? Short answer: Yes! We have had producers at all levels use the studio as their MAIN studio for tracking vocals, writing sessions, or as their mixing studio. We’re honored that you’d trust us with your talents, and promise our studio will be a positive in your workflow. Sounds good, but how does the monthly residency actually work? Typically, an artist will request 1 or 2 days a week (example: every Tuesday from 5-11) that they want locked in and reserved. During that time, the studio and all of its resources are available to them. How long do I have to stay? We’re pretty flexible, but usually ask for a 6-month minimum stay. We should note that our average artist stays over 1 year. How much am I looking at? Rates start at $200 and vary based on how often you’d like to have the space. Our avg. rate is $255. Are you a record label? Absolutely not. We’re a creative space here to help you create, not take credit. What’s the next step?
