Description

We are a non-profit parent-governed afterschool program housed in a public school in Auburndale neighborhood of Newton. We are looking to add to our team and are interviewing for part-time afterschool staff. This is not a public school position. Approx. 3-21 hours per week depending on your schedule. Typical afterschool schedule hours of operation: M, T, TH, F 2:20-5:50pm, WED 11:50 -5:50pm. Additionally, four early release TUES., and two early release THUR (11:50am-5:50pm). Work schedule can be adjusted (day/hours) for the right candidate. Experience teaching/leading/assisting school-age (K-5th grade) children in group gym games, dance, theatre, art, crafts, science, etc., in addition to general afterschool teacher duties, (general supervision, promoting positive interactions, attendance, etc.) a plus. Approx. $22-24.50/HR depending on experience; health insurance, paid time off, and other benefits may be available according to schedule.
