BG Autobody, is seeking Paint Prepper / Painters Assistant to join our team. Facility is located between San Diego and National City Hours Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm Job Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with skills and experience ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Preparing vehicles for the paint stage of the repair process. • Ability to use small machinery such as Sanders, solvents and various supplies for paint preparation. • Ensuring body panels are free of imperfections, identifying and repairing small imperfections. • Cleaning, taping or covering body panels, preparing vehicle to be painted• Applying Priming and or paint • Keep work area organized and clean • Follow all safety procedures, including, but not limited to wearing hearing protection, wearing appropriate breath protection and wearing safety glasses •Ability to read and comprehend instructions •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. •At least 1 year experience to successfully perform this job.
