JOIN OUR TEAM! We are looking to fill the full-time position of Door Installer for our Commercial Door, Frame, and Hardware company. Experience with commercial door fabrication and installation is required. Must have a valid CDL with a clean driving record. Candidates with mechanical, construction, electrical, or welding backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The Carpenter is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient installation of Doors, Frames, and Hardware for commercial projects. We provide vehicle and tools. INSTALL: - Install commercial doors (hollow metal, wood, FRP, etc.) - Install commercial frames in rough openings (hollow metal, wood, Aluminum, Timely, etc.) - Install commercial hardware on doors and frames - Must understand and follow code compliance for door, frame & hardware systems - Promptly identify the necessary hardware for each door and frame - Ability to assemble commercial door components - Ensures accuracy of installations - Communicates and works with other departments and personnel in the warehouse - Cross training amongst all warehouse departments is expected to ensure continued technical growth - Ability to drive company vehicles safely - Can read shop drawings, plans, and process important paperwork GENERAL WAREHOUSE: - Work closely with Operations Manager to outline daily workflow plan and job site goals as needed - Safety: Awareness and adherence of safety requirements including maintaining a clean environment and completing safety inspections and courses thoroughly and on time - Maintain routine vehicle maintenance for shop vehicles QUALITY CONTROL: - Verify the accuracy of product before, during, and after installation - Ongoing process improvement to ensure efficient use of materials and labor QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: - Able to perform extensive physical activities (i.e. lifting, walking, kneeling and the handling of heavy materials) - Must be reliable and dedicated - Willing and able to work overtime when needed - Good written and verbal communication skills - Strong sense of time organization and urgency - Able to work independently and within a team PAY AND BENEFITS: -This position is full-time -Competitive Salary based upon experience (plus O.T.) -401K retirement program with an employer match -Employee Incentive Plan (bonuses) -Paid Time Off (PTO & Paid Holidays) -Medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits available -Continuing education/training opportunities Applicants must have the following qualifications: • Ability to read detailed work orders and shop drawings • Strong math skills, including fractions • Door shop / wood working experience • Ability to lift 75 lbs • Ability to use door shop and wood working tools / machinery • Good written and communication skills • Ability to work well with others • Self-motivated, detail orientated and punctual • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening Must be flexible for overtime and to meet project demands.
