Serious dog available. Texas. TRAINED PROTECTION DOG FOR SPORTS LIKE IGP. 800 FIRM Male, 6 years old, fixed, papered. German Shepherd. Pedigree in hand. Due to his age he is not being sold as high as most protection dogs and bite sport dogs. Good with equipment, decent on civil work. Housebroken, crate trained, muzzle trained, great off and on leash. Has lived with a family with young kids before, as well as small animals and other dogs. Naturally wary of strangers of all kinds. Friendly after proper introductions. He is however, a dog I rehabilitated myself along with some behavioral training from a couple other trainers. He had a lot of issues discerning what was and wasn't a threat until I gave him proper guidance and training. Bite work is what completely steered him down the right path and I haven't had any issues for years. I would say it's all now a non issue, but still always approach things with caution until you know the dog. He is a wonderful house guardian. A deep warding bark, and deep firm grips. Very healthy, fit and agile for his age. Although he is already "trained", I recommend he goes to a home that will continue to put him in some sort of sport, such as IGP or PSA. He enjoys the work.
