Primary Responsibilities: Prep parts to have ready for powder coating team – sand blast, tape, plug, and hang to dry. Maintain high quality standard for products being prepared. Conform to shop workflow for maximum efficiency. Assure work area is clean and organized. Communicate as necessary with coworkers and supervisors. Quality control prior to parts leaving the shop. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits Skills: Experience in a powder coating environment a plus/not required. Strong Attention to detail. Mechanically Inclined. Experience using safe working habits. Takes ownership and responsibility for their work. Strives for excellence on the job. Self-directed and able to complete work with limited supervision. Teachable; able to follow instructions. Mindset of continual improvement -- always seeking to learn and improve. Hardworking, trustworthy, humble and is a Team Player. Send me an updated resume in word format and we’ll reach out to you ASAP. 6:00 am to 2:30 pm shift: Don't need any experience, good work ethic, and good at working hard at physical tasks. Starts at $18 - 20/hr. $18 -$20/hour and $100 shift bonus for the group (split 3 or 4 ways) if they get the production number (300 ft) with no mistakes. They are usually powder coating metal railing (and sometimes skylight frames). In past 5 weeks, the morning crew, some with a few years of experience and some of the new employees, earned the $100 shift bonus 20/25 times, (80% of shifts) usually split between 3 or 4 workers. $100 shift bonus is for reaching the 300 ft production goal. And for every 38 ft extra, they split an additional $12.50. So, some days it can be as high as $90 each, some days $33.
