Hello 👋 We are a serious up-and-coming group based out of the Oakland and LA that kicked off our career mid 2020. You are a bass player looking to be a dedicated player in a band for a long term commitment. You have significant experience doing such and are available and stoked to gig, tour, write, record, promote and run a business with a fun loving and determined group. We have been playing with hired guns that have been touring with us and it's been great but we are now looking for dedicated, long term, committed musicians who want to bring this to yet another level, particularly on the business side of things. Essentially expanding and trainning our current personnel to run an internal label until we're making enough gross to outsource specific jobs. Apart from our music our biggest asset as a group is that we are completely devoted to this project and have been since 2017, spending countless hours each month working toward manageable goals in content creation, promotion, marketing and touring with a bigger picture in mind. Currently looking for a drummer/ bassist to complete our steady lineup before we start on media creation for the second album and tour in 2022. We do all of our production, promotion, marketing, booking, merch ourselves along with our assistant manager and producer/engineer where we work like a small record label and outsource to a few firms that help with radio, press and other campaigns. We have played in 20+ states with fans all over the country eager to see us live and have been diligent in tracking our fan base during our promo campaign and previous tours to allow us to continue routing successful tours as well as online direct marketing campaigns such as our album fundraiser and subscription service "Only Campers" More about you: -Have command of your instrument on stage -Can learn parts from recordings by ear, verbatim -Can multitask to shout/sing BGVs -Are resilient, mentally and physically strong, energetic, can communicate your needs, and remain professional and positive, even in less than ideal situations -Are fun and outgoing, love sharing music with strangers and talking with them in person -Are comfortable in front of a camera, on stage and on tour -Are tech savvy and willing to post simple yet curated content for the band as well as use your network and socials to promote the group -Ready to learn and employ new industry standard skills not limited to Ableton, Photoshop, FB ads, basic video editing, sound/lights, booking, promo, networking, social media etc -More than willing to be a representative of the band on and off stage -Reliable and humble, knowing the professional and personal limits of your commitment -Know how to be respectful, easy going and adaptable on the road and while couch surfing (being well-traveled is a big plus!) -Must be self motivated whether during set up or with domestic tasks so no one is having to order you around -Respectful of others' gear/belongings while loading/borrowing and financially responsible for damage or loss -Chronically on time with perfect attendance no matter the circumstance -Down to commit to several weeks of touring per year nationally, in Europe, plus local weekenders in CA without being entirely dependent on the band for income. If you work full time you must have the flexibility to leave work for minimum two week increments several times a year. Otherwise freelance online side hustles that can be done from the road are a must -Most importantly you have to be into this music otherwise the passion isn't there This is a paid gig - if we sign a contract you will take a percentage of the group's profit with a set minimum per show amount.
