Dog Walkers and/or Overnight Pet Sitters Needed

Metro DC Dog Walkers is an established and well-loved pet sitting and dog walking company, and we are seeking exceptional overnight pet and house sitters and dog walkers to add to our staff. Please note: We will be accepting applications until we find the right staff, so if you are viewing this posting weeks after it’s been published, please contact us as we may still need pet sitters. We currently need: Mid-Day Dog Walkers: Days: M/W/F or T/TH or M-F Hours: 10-1 or 12-3:30 Pay rate: $13 per dog, per 30 minute walk. Walkers needed in: Northwest Washington, DC, Bethesda and Silver Spring, MD Please note: This is a very part-time job to start (10-15 walks per week). More walks available as business increases. Walks are for 1-2 dogs at a time; more dogs possible as business and your skill increase. Requirements: -You have a car (a dog-friendly car if you want to walk multiple dogs from different homes). -You LOVE dogs. -You feel comfortable walking both BIG and small dogs. -You can work with us until at least May, 2022. The pets will want to develop a long-term relationship with you. -You are available for the days/hours listed above. -You can easily pass a criminal/background check. Requirements for the overnight pet sitting position: • You have a car. • You absolutely LOVE both dogs and cats. • You are neat and tidy in client homes. • You can work with us until at least May 2022. The pets will want to develop a long-term relationship with you. • You are available to pet sit over at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s. (Don’t worry; you’ll be paid an additional holiday bonus per night and will be able to have holiday plans of your own.) • You can pass a criminal / background check. The pay range for the overnight pet sitting jobs is from $50 to $60 depending upon the number of animals cared for.
