Description
This is for a 2006 Ford Taurus with rear drum breaks....
We had the break shoes replaced recently, but after a few days we saw a few things that need to be adjusted:
1. Parking break not working now. Cable is still there so I am thinking it just needs to be tightened
2. The breaks engage and work, but only when we push the brake pedal way down. before this we just needed to tap the peddle to engage the breaks. So hoping this is a small adjustment.
3. When we have the brake shoes put on, the star wheel adjusters were accidentally put on the wrong sides (left was put on right wheel and right was put on the left wheel). So while you are taking care of the brake adjustment hope to get this fixed at the same time - maybe that is even the cause?
Overall should be a pretty easy gig if you are used to working with drum brakes. I do have a jack stands, jack and brake pliers if needed.
