Part Time Freight Inspector

We are a company contracted to perform inspections on damaged freight. Jobs are received at the Corporate office and dispatched to the contractor. Once the contractor is notified of a job, it will be their responsibility to schedule an on-site inspection (typically within 24 hours) and complete the associated paperwork for submission (typically within 48 hours from the assignment of the job). Jobs take approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour on site, with some computer work afterwards. Contractors are paid by the job and are paid on a monthly basis. Typically individuals who have an open/flexible schedule work well in this environment. Customer service, a friendly attitude and ability to be flexible all are great qualities. Requirements: • The individual would be set up as a 1099 Contractor • Training would be completed virtually and some in-person • The contractor would need; the ability to access a vehicle to drive to job sites, ability to take pictures on site and computer access to complete reports.
