University of Minnesota Online Research Opportunity: Phonetic Imitation in Children and Adults
Join our study investigating how children learn to imitate other people’s pronunciation patterns.
We are looking for 4-year-old children. (Must be 4 years old at the time of recording)
Participation requirements:
-Have access to a laptop/iPad/chromebook with Zoom
-Child must a native speaker of English
-Child must have no current or past speech, language, or hearing disorder
-Child participants must have a primary caregiver (someone who is legally responsible for the child, like a parent or grandparent) present
Participants will:
-Attend an online session via Zoom (projected to be around 60 minutes)
-Watch videos and look at pictures
-Be audio and video recorded while labeling pictures and answering questions
If You Are Selected To Participate:
Caregivers of child participants will receive $25 for each session
