Beware to anyone rehoming a dog/ do not give up your dog to this person!! Her name is T**** (don't want to give her name) w/ a phone # of 865-765-29** (left out the last 2 digits for her privacy) I recently thought I had to make a tough choice to rehome my beloved dog. (my mind has been changed, and she will be staying with me no matter what circumstances!!!!)... But after getting a few emails, a woman named Tracy emailed, told me that her dog of 14 years passed away some months ago, and she was just now finally able to give all her love to another. She seemed normal and kind enough. She came for a meet and greet, seemed like a loving person, only 1 red flag, shaking hands, but I assumed she was just nervous. My dog went home with her the day after a meet n greet, and I cried for 2 days.. That’s beside the point. I wanted to call her to beg for my dog back, but did not have the courage. I didn’t need to though, as after 2 days, I got a phone call from her friend that they were bringing my girl back to me (my prayers answered)... They would explain when they got here.. Well, this woman had a full blown psychotic breakdown, hadn’t slept for 2 days (my poor dog didn’t sleep either, she was so distraught and tired when she was brought back to me). My dog was traumatized. It was bad enough that she was in a different environment, but what she was subjected to was a whole lot worse. If only dogs could speak, I wonder what my dog went through for these 2 days. She put her deceased dogs collar on her while she was here, over top of her regular collar... I assumed she would take one of them off at some point). They were both on, and her dogs collar was far too tight, this woman didn't even bother to check my baby to see if the collar was too tight, and she had 2 of them on still!! This woman texted my phone at 3:45am with a text that read “All is well!” and another text at 8am that only said “Yep”. The night before this? A text at 5:45 am that they were in bed (she and my dog) eating chunky monkey.. (the ice cream? Who is up at 5:45 am eating ice cream in bed with a dog? AND Chunky Monkey has chocolate! Toxic to dogs!) Quite odd, her friend was with her when they brought my girl back to me, this woman T**** could not even get out of the car, she was trembling, and suffering a severe mental breakdown. She had no business trying to adopt a dog! She can’t take care of herself, much less a dog!!! I feel sorry for her deceased dog to be honest. And I do feel sorry for her also, and I REALLY feel sorry for my poor baby girl. I am horrified! I’m mostly horrified that I did this to her. Never again!!!!! I just want to warn anyone in case she attempts to adopt another dog. Please be wary of who you give your beloved pet to. I made a COLOSSAL mistake, and my dog has recovered from the trauma of whatever she went through for 2 days and nights with this poor woman, but I can’t imagine what kind of life she would have had if she would have ended up staying with her.
