Description

Spend some time in nature and contribute to the protection of native plants and animals. All volunteer opportunities at Martin Griffin Preserve are postponed until further notice! Thank you for understanding. 11am - 3pm Saturdays 10am - 2pm Thursdays Become a land steward at Martin Griffin Preserve! As a land steward, you will have the opportunity to learn about the natural world, cultivate a relationship to the land, and contribute your skills and passion towards the protection of local plants and animals. Workdays focus on hand-pulling invasive plants, so this is a great activity for those who enjoy weeding in the garden. Please bring a lunch, clothes you would garden in, sturdy shoes, and a water bottle. Gloves and tools are provided. People of all experience levels are encouraged to join! We will be meeting at the Martin Griffin Preserve, the exact parking location will depend on the week's work, and will be sent to you via email after you sign up. Public transportation to the meeting site is available via the West Marin Stagecoach route 61. For driving directions, visit www.egret.org/directions_martin_griffin Please note that, for your safety, stewardship workdays may be cancelled due to red flag days, high wind events, or other dangerous weather conditions. You will be notified via email if the workday you have signed up for is cancelled. Youth volunteers aged 14-18 are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, also registered as a volunteer. We will be working in different parts of the preserve each workday, so please contact Henry Inman if you have any questions or concerns about accessibility. Please RSVP for the date(s) you would like to volunteer. email: [email protected] phone: 415-868-9244 ext. 102 We welcome people of all races, ethnicities, religions, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities. ________________________________________ habitat restoration, nature, stewardship, conservation, environment, plants, native plants, botany, science, gardening
