Description
Principal Responsibilities: Delivering materials to field technicians. Picking up supplies, doors and door parts from suppliers locally and delivering them to local customers. Load and unload vehicles for overhead doors & loading dock material, tools, equipment & returns to vendors. Carries out duties of laborer to supplement shop labor needs. Responsible for pre-trip inspection of delivery vehicle to assure that vehicle is safe to drive and roadworthy. Receives daily UPS delivery and distributes to appropriate department. Assist in various shop & yard clean up and maintenance functions. Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction. We will teach you to carry out completion of all field orders for parts, tools and equipment including UPS package distribution and light fabrication. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Class B or C license will be required (if you do not have one you will need to get one within the first month. We will assist you with the process. A CDL is not required DOT Physical and Pre-employment Drug Screen Minimum of one year warehousing and driving experience, with good driving record. Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills with high school diploma. Great verbal communication skills. Basic personal computing skills. Works and interacts in team environment with 10 -- 15 personnel and with end user customers. Description of physical working environment: Delivers and unloads on field construction sites in all kinds of weather. Ability to climb up and down ladders and steps is required. Job requires continuous standing and walking in the fabrication shop. Requires lifting materials up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis and frequent twisting, bending, and turning.
