15+ Skilled Racking Laborers needed for large scale solar utility project located in Lincoln, IL. Ideal candidates have prior solar farm experience on posts, tilts, tables, and modules. Pay is $17 to $20 per hour + $100 Per Diem for days worked if you live outside of 60 mile radius from jobsite (proof of residency required) Schedule 6x10s (6 days a week for 10 hours) Responsibilities: • Reports to work on time, ready to work safely and learn • Is a team player and willing to learn and be coached by the foreman • Willing to install all components of a Solar racking system • Skills at installing torque tubes, BHA, dog ears, and miscellaneous racking components • Previous experience with the major racking manufacturers – NEXTracker, ATI, or Gamechange • Safely operates hand tools/equipment associated with racking installation • Assembling racking and torque tubes with bolts and screws - using basic hand tools - lifting and installing solar modules • Use small hand tools to assemble racking system. Tools such as sockets and wrenches will be used. What you will bring to the role: • Must be 18 years of age or older • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in solar construction • Familiar with field concepts, practices, and procedures • Knowledge and use of hand and power tools • High regard for safety and pride for quality of work • Self-motivated and a team player • Ability to multi-task, show initiative and ask questions, as needed • Ability to follow directions ensuring completion of daily tasks • Have a high degree of flexibility in a changing environment • Must have reliable transportation • Ability to consistently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, from the ground to waist level • Ability to navigate through the worksite daily • Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairs • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and under pressure **If you are interested in this position, please email your resume that lists your previous solar experience or related work experience to [email protected]**
