General Auction Assistant Growing Northern NJ, Commercial Auction Company seeking a hardworking, General Auction Assistant. We liquidate machinery, equipment and inventory from companies which go out of business. We are seeking candidates to assist with inventory and photography in the field. Daily activities include preparing inventory for auction & digital photography. Our auctions are conducted online, therefore candidates must have basic computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products. After the auctions the candidate would need to help with overseeing auction pick-up by the buyers. We have an office and warehouse is Riverdale, NJ, however most of the work is at different job sites in Northern New Jersey. Candidates must own a vehicle and be OK with commuting to different locations each day. Typically our team works 8 to 4pm, Monday thru Friday. Any past work experience eventually becomes a valuable resource, as we liquidate companies in a variety of industries. So please tell us about previous employment and acquired skills. From driving a forklift, mechanical skills, sales experience to marketing abilities (photography, inventory descriptions), any of these or similar skills would be appreciated by our firm. The organizing and curating of these auctions can be physically demanding. The job candidate must be in good health and be able to move auction inventory by hand when needed. Furthermore we work both indoors and outside, in all types of weather. This is not an office job. All in all, our crew works well together, as a team and generally enjoy the work. There is room for advancement over time and the work is never boring. Rate of Pay $18.50 / Hour Benefits: Ability to join employee healthcare plan after 90 days. 401K Plan w/ 50/50 match up to 3% by employer after 6 months.
