Contact Hours: 4.5 Course Description: The BLS for Healthcare Provider course is designed to train participants to recognize cardiac arrest, provide high-quality CPR for victims of all ages, and to provide early use of an AED. The class also teaches how to relieve choking. The current textbook is required for this class. The Public Safety Advanced Education and Training at Palm Beach State College provides courses for certified emergency services professionals designed to improve and expand their level of knowledge and skills as well as coursework needed to maintain their certification.
