Kern County Water Agency Systems/Heavy Equipment Operator $54,704 - $66,373 Annually $26.30 - $31.91 Hourly This position will assist with or lead the operating, monitoring and maintenance activities related to the canal system, pumping plants and groundwater banking facilities and operate and maintain heavy equipment. All applicants must possess a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and a valid California Class A driver license. A valid Crane Operator Certificate of Competency issued by an accredited certifying entity in the State of California is required within two (2) years of hire. One year operating heavy equipment experience is required, and demonstrated ability to operate the Cross Valley Canal as part of the scheduled on-call rotation is required within one (1) year of hire.
